Increase your Child’s Confidence and Self-esteem. Improve Academic Performance. Develop their Social Skills.
All while having Fun!
Scene and Heard Acting School is a values-based Acting School in Sydney’s Lane Cove offering Acting Classes for Children. Based in the 3 R’s (Rights, Respect and Responsibility - for self and others), we use acting and performance skills as a way to develop a child’s self esteem, confidence, intellectual curiosity and world perspective.
Working from ‘the inside out’ we believe that if a child can achieve adulthood with confidence, self-esteem and a sense of their place in the world, they are well positioned to successfully navigate the challenges and adventures life has to offer.
It has been proven that academic performance and social skills have improved after taking our Acting Classes. We have had the joy of seeing children overcome the trauma of speech impediments, shyness, bullying and personal difficulties. Unlike many other schools, we celebrate diversity and difference in our students, encouraging them to walk tall and proud. We have coached students in our acting classes to successful auditions for everything from their school play to entry into US acting schools.
Our Director, Bernadette Eichner, has formal training and a background in Theatre, along with a First Class Honours Degree in Psychology and our wonderful teachers are all formally qualified and well known performers in the industry. This unique combination ensures that the programs we offer are age appropriate, performance oriented, and most importantly for kids, they are fun!
Acting Classes aren’t all that we offer. We run a Film Making Program, and a Musical Theatre program for children as well as School Holiday programs. To find out more about our Acting Classes and other programs for children click here.
We also offer personalised audition and Presentation Skills Coaching.
